the chant that echoes throughout the crowd as the first and winning goal was scored by Mario Götze. 3000+ gather together covered in black, red and yellow at the Elbe to witness the amazing win. Three hours prior to the game, the Elbe was filled with fans waiting for gates of the Filmnachte to open. The energy that came from the crowd was unbelievable that you almost forget about the pouring rain.
It was quite a nerve wrecking game, every close score had the crowd in silence and screaming 'AH'. Though, minutes before the official win. Flags were waving in the air with chants and singing of what I would assume to be the national anthem as well Deutschland top hit song for the World Cup Auf Ins by Andreas Bourani. & it only got crazier as the cup was handed over to team Deutschland.. From that moment, people dispersed into trsffic where honking filled the streets as well as fireworks filled the air. Parties went all night long and till early morning. Even if you're not a drinker, the energy from the crowd would have got you drunk.
It was an experience of a lifetime!
